The Twits plot
Mr. and Mrs. Twit are the meanest and smelliest people in the world. In addition, they also own and operate the most disgusting, dangerous and idiotic amusement park Twitlandia. But when the Twits rise to power in their town, two brave orphans and a family of magical animals are forced to become as troublesome as the Twits to save the town.

A loose adaptation of Roald Dahl's "The Twits" about Mr. & Mrs. Twit [Johnny Vegas, Margo Martindale], who primarily bully each other until they cause a flood and their bizarre amusement park, Twitlandia, is forced to close due to safety concerns. Now these tormentors are targeting the villagers, among other things by running for mayor. Orphans Pipa [Emilia Clark] and Bubsy [Ryan Lopez] want to put a stop to this and get help from the Muggle-Wumps. In the book, "The Twits" are endearing despite their teasing; here they are annoying characters who give the story a grim tone that doesn't match the darkly comic tone of Dahl's beloved children's book. Believe it or not, the abominable songs were co-written by David Byrne (formerly of Talking Heads)!
Roald Dahl, by the way, isn't mentioned in the credits. He won't be unhappy about that.
