The Beast Within plot

In 1965, a ten-year-old girl begins to question her unusual life in her family's fortified camp deep in the mountains of Arkansas. She discovers that her father turns into a monster once a month. Her parents say the monster is nothing to fear, but when the monster escapes, the girl must face the harsh reality of her father's identity and make a life-changing decision.

The Beast Within was a great film. It's not really a film with a lot of action and violence. It's more about the setting and the well-created threatening atmosphere that continues throughout the film.

Who knows, maybe this was a great movie. But everything was so horribly dark that you could barely see anything. The story is small and simple, but therefore also slow. Actually, 2 stars is more than enough, but I found the ending fitting and neatly done. So I'll round up. *2.5
