Maximillian plot

The Shadows are one of the top assassin groups working for their boss, Vargas. They all did their job well. However, things have gotten complicated and Vargas has ordered the Shadows' henchman, Watcher, to handle the issues. One of the hitmen, Max, begins to have doubts about life as a hitman. When Watcher summons the group, they are taken to an abandoned warehouse and that's where the real trouble begins.

A very low-budget action film with a crew that seems genuinely eager. Director Keith Collins II, for example, emphatically includes his camera in the fights, even reminiscent of Timo Tjahjanto's techniques. This somewhat obscures the fact that many actors are completely incompetent with their fists or feet, but it does provide decent entertainment at times. Unfortunately, the action is rather unevenly distributed throughout the film, meaning the viewer is quickly worn down by the constant gunfire. Even with a running time of only 72 minutes, the film runs out of steam early on, and the acting is poor, making Maximillian a considerable challenge after 30 minutes. It's creative at times, but the financial resources certainly prove necessary in the end.
