"Keep your friends close and your enemies dead."
Charlie Swift has worked for twenty years as a problem solver and hit man for aging mob boss Stan. A rival mobster, the ruthless Beggar Mercado, decides to get rid of Stan and his people. Charlie is the only survivor and wants to avenge his friend. Charlie teams up with Marcie, the ex-wife of a criminal he killed, to bring down Beggar and his entire operation.

On the one hand it feels like a B-movie and the ending is very juicy.
Scenes in cars in particular look really dramatically bad.
Still, the film is very entertaining and both Brosnan and Baccarin are enjoyable to watch.
At first I got a laugh that reminded me of the first time I saw Pulp Fiction and if you see this scene(s) you will undoubtedly understand what I am referring to. 
Did I now see a nice reference to James Bond? 
Enjoy it and move on quickly. A decent 3* for me.

Nice crime film. The story doesn't mean much. The effect is reasonable. The film is never boring and remains interesting until the end. It's a bit of a mix of crime with some tension, action and a bit of humor. Not great, but it's okay. The action is not very spectacular and the film contains a few harsh scenes. The humor is harsh and dry. The acting is excellent and it's nice to see Caan again. Furthermore, the film looks neat. 3.0
