Haunting of the Queen Mary plot
In the year 1938, a family sails on the luxury cruise ship Queen Mary. A curse rests on the craft and along the way a raging David kills his entire family. Years later, the Calder family goes on a business trip with the aid of the Queen Mary. The son Lukas stumbles upon the bloody past and becomes possessed by it. To save his soul, the Calders go through hell.

Wel een mooie locatie voor een horror film op te nemen. Nou maar hopen dat het ook nog een beetje een aardige horror film wordt.

Top-notch junk, which is then unnecessarily drawn out by director Gary Shore. He miraculously succeeds in stretching the whole thing out to 125 minutes, which makes Haunting of the Queen Mary tiring to sit through at times. Moreover, a number of timelines are mixed up, all of which are so different in tone that they have difficulty complementing each other. The acting of the young Angus Wright is decent, the other members play on autopilot and never manage to give their characters anything distinctive. The second half reaches unimaginably dull moments and is truly impossible to get through. Only the neat filters yield some bonus points, but then you have to look through a fairly generous lens.
