Larry Flynt for President plot
"Larry Flynt for President" chronicles the wild ride of the 1983 presidential campaign of Hustler Magazine publisher Larry Flint. It is the story of an outsider who fought to expose the hypocrisy and bigotry that eventually nearly made him cost life. While he didn't win against Ronald Reagan, he opened the free speech debate that led to the change of the Constitution by expanding the First Amendment to include satire and parody. The Supreme Court victory allowed comedians, cartoonists, and all of us to criticize those in power without fear of retaliation.
