It was one of the most notorious murder cases in Italy: the murder of businessman Maurizio Gucci, grandson of the founder of the fashion house of the same name. Maurizio Gucci was shot dead in front of his office in 1995 by a hit man who turned out to be acting on behalf of his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, also called Lady Gucci by many. Ten years before his death, Maurizio had left Patrizia for another woman after twelve years of marriage, and they were officially divorced in 1991. When he was murdered, the police were in the dark for a long time about the circumstances. It was not until two years after the murder that Patrizia Reggiani was arrested and convicted. Due to good behavior, she was released in 2016 and is now telling her story. What had been her motives for killing her ex-husband? How did she work? And did she seriously think she could get away with it?
