"Some families have secrets."
Jules and Ben inherit an abandoned, remote house on the coast. Ben's mother never told him about this house. When they move in, an ancient creature wakes up that hasn't been active for ages. This creature used to terrorize the entire region, including Ben's ancestors, for generations.

The story is nothing new under the sun and deals with the typical horror elements that slowly build up to the climax. The visual threat is left in the dark for a long time, but towards the end the viewer will see the monsters frequently. All fairly predictable, but quite enjoyable. 6/10

Watched today on Blu-ray, in English, but otherwise easy to follow.
The story goes that a family (mother, father and daughter) go to a house somewhere (abandoned) in the forest, where they discover a monster that lives under the house in a kind of water tank.
Only after 1 hour of tapping do we see some tension and the monster comes loose, not much happens before that.
Several people die, later the family is also attacked by the monster and later even several more.
The ending was quite manageable, otherwise a simple film with little spectacle.
