Sam is a young woman who wants to break into the music world at any cost. Her father, worried that Sam is hanging out with the wrong people, sends her from Los Angeles to Atlanta to live with her fun-loving cousin Jess. Sam, already unhappy about this, is also forced to join her niece's struggling, underdeveloped singing choir ahead of a national championship game. However, she also sees this as an opportunity to finally make her dream come true.
