The seaside town of Dinard rolls out the red carpet for its British film festival when the lifeless body of a young British film director is discovered floating on the water. After investigation it appears that the man did not drown, he was murdered. Years earlier, he was the victim of a tragic shipwreck that killed his teenage sister. Are these two tragedies connected?
