"It's never too late to get even"
Claire leaves her home in Ohio and heads to California for an old friend's funeral. That's not her only reason to go. She plans to kill the girlfriend's widower, Howard. She has good reason to hate him. At the service, she runs into Evelyn, another old friend with her own reason for despising Howard. Claire confesses her plan, which Evelyn initially mocks. Finally she agrees to help. The plan takes a complication when Claire is reunited with her ex-husband Ralph and things between them escalate.

Reasonable film in which two old friends meet again during the funeral of another. In terms of tone, it is rather unbalanced and sometimes lacks some direction. But the acting is good and the film certainly contains some good scenes and sometimes surprises. Lily Tomlin knows how to provide the most humor. A small 3.0 stars.
