The Adventurers plot
In 1902, as the Second Boer War draws to a close, a South African soldier, Pieter Brandt, hides a stash of diamonds he finds on a body. He returns to the town he left three years earlier, where his girlfriend, Anne, has married a disgraced English officer, Clive Hunter. Because Pieter needs money to collect the diamonds, he enlists the help of his former comrade Hendrik Von Thaal, Hunter and a bar owner named Dominic. This irregular group goes into the bush in search of their fortune.
