Broken Halos plot
A former police officer is traumatized by an incident. He gets terrifying visions and hears voices that he thinks are prayers. He tries to make the voices disappear until an unexpected group of new friends help him find his own calling.

This film is said to have won several awards. It also gets an award from me, one of the worst films I have ever seen. I'm not going to call this a b-movie, it's too bad for that, I should have cleaned the fridge, it's a lot more interesting...

Director Michael Kampa's agenda is not exactly subtle, because even a blind horse can see that Broken Halos is a religious film. Fortunately, it does come with a number of catchy plot twists and a story that is not afraid to draw inspiration from the imaginative. Kampa, however, experiences little support from his cast, specifically Brad Benedict makes a bad impression with this fairly bare acting performance. A lack of expression and sincerity do his role in and the other characters also lack the charm to stick. It also does not want to be very exciting, but it is all quite unpredictable and does not last too long. Screen time could be spent worse.
