Geylang plot
On the eve of parliamentary appointments in Singapore's Geylang district, a confluence of desperation, betrayal, love, hope and greed brings together a bunch of outrageous characters: Fatty, a pimp with an '80s mat and his demented old father; Shangri-la, a seductive sex worker with her cigarette-selling boyfriend Jie; Celine, a women's welfare lawyer and wife of a political candidate; also an unsavory, mysterious doctor. Everyone has their own mission and nothing is what it seems. Who will survive the night?
