Nummer Achttien - The Breath of Life plot

Autofiction by and about Guido van der Werve, a video and performance artist who enjoys worldwide success with video artworks in which he confronts life. He is also a classical pianist, composes music, plays chess at a high level, and runs ultramarathons. It is a special life, which comes to a merciless halt when Van der Werve almost loses his life in a serious traffic accident in 2016. He sustains a traumatic brain injury, is in a coma for a month; the doctors take a gloomy view. But thanks to the extraordinary condition of his body and mind, he manages to recover miraculously.
