Munch plot
Portrait of the artist Edvard Munch. He was one of the most important artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. His motif Skrik (The Scream), which he repeated in different techniques, lodged itself in the subconscious of the 20th century world – an image of fear and loneliness that most people are familiar with, whether they know who the creator is or not. The film focuses on four key moments in Munch's life and jumps back and forth in time between them.

Four actors (Anne Krigsvoll plays the elderly version) take on the role of the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, mainly (but not exclusively) known for the iconic painting 'The Scream'. The actors bear little resemblance, and one episode takes place in the present as Munch died in 1943.
