Up the Creek plot
"Who says a bunch of boobs can't win a race?"
Teen comedy about a rafting match between four eternal students against a team of wealthy students. At the same time, a group of disbarred military rafters tries to thwart the race. Very predictable and not without the standard clichés, but on the other hand not annoying and entertaining to watch.
I didn't need the soldiers, the battle between the other group was fun enough.
Up The Creek is not special, but there is also little wrong with it, straightforward work.

Crazy comedy with moronic soldiers, blond sporty yuppies and horny chicks who get their tits out to motivate the men for a rafting competition... and of course the mixed bunch of nerds who have to prove themselves. Lots of bland underpants fun for the rest; the success film Police Academy is ultimately not that much more brilliant. Bland but fairly entertaining.

In the review. We used to occasionally have movie nights at the MAVO. You could watch a film for 2 guilders on a large screen in the auditorium, with the geography teacher as the projectionist. There was even a special student film committee that selected the films, which varied from West Side Story, Diamonds Are Forever, Private Benjamin, [i ]1941[/i], Police Academy, Son of Godzilla, Escape to Victory to this Make Your Chest(s) But Wet. Somehow this one has always stuck with me. I think it was one of the more successful choices of the film committee at the time.
40 years later, still fun! probably for reasons of youth sentiment, because of course it's all very lame: farts, pie in the face, dog bites man in the balls. It's not great humor. But for some eighties teen comedy it's all just a bit better than average. Only known actor is Higgins from Magnum, who has almost 2 minutes of screen time. But nice to see you again!
