Never Play with the Dead plot

Student Craig gathers with six friends in a dilapidated asylum. They want to organize a rave in the large, abandoned building and earn a lot of money. There is a DJ, someone who controls the lighting for a spectacular light show and a pretty lady who pours the drinks. It seems like a plan that can't fail until something goes terribly wrong. One of the girls becomes convinced that they are not alone, and as the panic mounts, the shelter begins to take on a life of its own. Walls disappear and reappear, and the group is pushed further and further into the mysterious depths of the building, where something ancient and sinister awaits them.

Alienating teenage horror film in which director Ray Kilby uses a remarkably slow approach to a story that keeps the communication with the viewer quite direct. The acting of the young cast members is fortunately solid, although they don't have to do much with their characters. Just a bunch of kids who play pranks and jokes on each other and clearly enjoy it. It distracts the viewer for a while from the fact that the horror work is pretty poor. The ghosts are cheap and the makers squeeze little atmosphere or tension out of the location. Only in the last fifteen minutes can you prepare yourself for the necessary haunting and then it is basically over again. Too bad, but fortunately it never lasts a second too long.
