Krigsseileren plot
When World War II breaks out, Alfred, a newlywed father of three working-class children in Bergen, and his childhood friend are at work on a merchant ship in the mid-Atlantic. Suddenly they find themselves on the front line, fighting in civilian clothes, without weapons, because their ship is the target of German submarines. At the same time, we follow Alfred's wife and children at home in Bergen and their daily life in wartime.

A beautiful Norwegian series with two Scandinavian top actors, Hagen in particular is a wonderful actor, as in the great series EXIT. Wilmann also participated in EXIT and we already knew that she could act. This film (mini series) based on true events did not bore you for a minute, even though it was a theme that normally fascinates me less....

Beautiful but sad story about the Norwegian merchant navy and the inhabitants of Bergen in the 2nd World War. Depicts a forgotten but essential part of the Allies' fight against the Nazis. Friendship and in particular true friendship between two seafarers is central. Excellent acting: subdued, emotional, short dialogues.
CGI could have been better. The make up of the beards could have been better. Didn't bother me.
Excellent drama that never gets boring.
