Matriarch plot
"The mother of all evil."
After nearly dying from an overdose, Laura escapes the heavy workload of the advertising world and returns to her mother Celia. Mother and daughter are estranged from each other, but Laura hopes that her stay in the British village will give her the necessary peace. However, the villagers appear to be keeping a secret that also concerns her family.

A rather bizarre film, that is, right from the start, why does Laura stay with that Celia, from second 1 insufferable bitch. There is a strange and uncomfortable atmosphere/feeling throughout the film. Nah I didn't like it that much. Let me give it another 5/10.

Mediocre horror movie. The story is a bit muddled and sometimes doesn't quite make sense. The effect is twofold. The first part isn't that bad at all. It is mysterious and oppressive and a reasonable tension arc is created. Unfortunately, the second part is weak and laughable at times and almost seems to come from another bad c-movie. The acting is just okay. Visually a bit of a mix of beautiful settings and bad special effects. 2.5
