really an excellent film with Kate Beckinsale, Brian Cox as the main characters, the son also plays well.
very entertaining film about a prisoner who is released early because of his illness.
and tries to reconnect with his daughter and his grandson.
the ending is also fine and thoughtful, enjoyed from the first to the last minute.
for me a 7 to 7.5 well deserved

When a criminal gets permission from his prison warden to spend his last days with his estranged daughter (and grandson), the confrontation is naturally accompanied by the necessary tensions. Gradually the tone of the film changes, so that you still have something like a good feeling about it. A sober, understated drama that I really liked, especially thanks to the performance of Brian Cox and Kate Beckinsale.

Mediocre film about an old prisoner who serves the rest of his time with his daughter and grandson. The characters come across as somewhat clichéd and even Brian Cox and Kate Beckinsale hardly manage to improve this. The course of mutual relations is quite predictable. Not bad, but it's all been seen before and better.
