Loki, the villainous uncle of thunder god Thor, escapes from Asgaard to seek Yggdrasil, the world tree of the nine realms. The tree contains the power of the universe and is hidden on Earth. With the help of the divine dire wolf Fenrir, Loki wants to destroy the tree and replant it in his image. In this way, Loki can rule over everything and everyone. To stop him, Thor must travel to Earth and wage an epic battle that will keep the two worlds in balance.
