Hex plot

"Jump. Pull. Pray. Die."

Newcomer Sarah goes skydiving with five others. Their goal is to perform in the air a difficult taboo formation where people have died in the past. During the free fall, something inexplicable happens: Leader Payson suddenly disappears into thin air. After the mysterious incident, the other skydivers experience paranormal events and seem to be haunted by an unseen, mysterious force. Searching for answers, Sarah and the others discover that things are not as they seem.

Mediocre horror thriller with an interesting setup via a concept that revolves around freediving. It forces director duo Chris Johnston and Andy Malchiodi to actively seek out stunt work and that delivers a number of impressive images. The way in which the jumps themselves are captured are quite spectacular and quite nice, unfortunately the makers do not have the best cast or the appropriate financial resources. When it comes to the horror side of the story, there is little atmosphere and/or tension and the murders are often not striking enough. As a result, Hex, apart from a number of original approaches, remains mainly mediocre.
