Terror on the Prairie plot
The year 1872. A pioneer family, led by Hattie McAllister, builds a ranch on the plains of Montana. Their new home is terrorized by vicious villains seeking revenge for a mysterious crime committed during the American Civil War. A dark past is revealed and loyalties are tested as Hattie must protect her family during a bullet-infested showdown to survive.

Mediocre western. The story is simple but still needs some reasonable development. The structure is good and the film is enjoyable without boring for a moment. The film contains a number of exciting scenes. On the other hand, there are also a number of very illogical, almost laughable scenes, which significantly reduce the average level of the film. The acting is decent, although Carano remains a limited actress. Visually everything looks neat. 2.5/3.0

Terror on the Prairie is clearly not Little House on the Prairie. At the beginning of the film we see a very violent gang (great villains by the way) scalping a man. The tone has been set. The progression of the film is nice, but not very special, although the reason is only clear at the end. So there's still a little quip in this western. Actors play quite well, although the father (read a bit soft) looks out of place. The very busty mother and son are doing well. A lot of attention has been paid to details and I must say that the whole film looks good. Pictures are beautifully shot, sound (wind) is sufficiently present. This creates a nice atmosphere without going up or down. This western is therefore average. Not boring even though there are some dead moments. I also thought less, as I read above that there are very often misfires. They look like the fairground guns they shoot with. By the way, the bullet loading looks good. At the end the film goes a bit out of control when the seriously injured mother suddenly walks out and no one shoots her. Not exactly believable. But all in all, I can live with this movie.
