Pepe is a woodcutter in an idyllic village. His pleasant and quiet life is disrupted in the span of a few days by some tragic events. Pepe himself, however, remains calm under this. It's like he knows more about his existence.

The life of Finnish lumberjack Pepe [Jarkko Lahti] is turned upside down when he is fired and his mother dies. He sticks to his habits as much as possible, including trips with Tuoma's son [Livo Tuuri], but gradually concludes that he needs help to get his life back on track. Black comedy, played with completely deadpan faces that reinforce the hypothermic humor and are reminiscent of the work of Roy Andersson. In the second half, the story takes a surprising turn and we end up in more surreal territory. Within that framework, this has been done very well, even if a certain degree of absurdism is not for everyone.
