Not quite my thing. There is a lot of attention for the medical explanation for the phobias. I'm a layman of course, but I find those explanations very unlikely. It does mean that the romantic part of the story barely comes out of the paint. The end result is just so-so. Like most movies with Nana Komatsu that I've seen, this is another example of not quite.

Very strong.

Japanese dramas and romances enough, so much that after a while you can dream the style. That's why it's extra fun when a film like this comes to the surface. Kakimoto adds a lot of original elements, making it a lot more unpredictable (and fun).

The set-up is fairly unique in itself, the stylization is above average and consistently carried through to the end, and the mix of genres works very well. A number of scenes really catch the eye, the film has few dips.

Actors also do it more than properly, so little to nothing to criticize. It's a pity that films like this are so difficult to surface, it's not the time for it, I have the feeling. Familiar and well-behaved are currently more dominant.

4.0* and a extensive review
