In 1980s Paris, three students celebrate the end of their studies with a trip to the catacombs. They come across the historic Nazis' 717 Bunker. However, the students find themselves in a nightmare when they are being chased by something or someone. Deep underground, they must find a way out before it's too late.

Director Grégory Beghin comes up with a film that borrows heavily from The Descent. The ideas that Beghin himself added are of extremely questionable quality and come out of nowhere, so it is not exactly surprising that the adopted and well-known elements work best. The setting is positive, and is used well. Some experimenting with lighting and some focus on claustrophobic thriller scenes are entertaining and Sofia Lesaffre also delivers a solid job as the protagonist. However, the film falls down the stairs when the threat is put forward in the dark and it turns out to be so idiotic that all tension almost immediately disappears completely. The story also moves at a rapid pace where all events have to be rushed through in order to ultimately bring them to an end. As far as I'm concerned, The Zombie Nazi is one of the most abrupt horror additions ever, special that the makers actually took their film so seriously with such a concept.
