Jake Burton Carpenter is one of the inventors of snowboarding. He took toys from his childhood and developed them into an international cultural phenomenon. He created his first snowboard as a cheap alternative to skis. From there, he developed increasingly versatile boards, lobbied ski resorts to enable snowboarding, sponsored world-class athletes and fended off rival companies. His vision took the sport from punk culture to the mainstream and eventually to Olympic sport. This documentary tells how one person's dreams can change the world of a sport.
