Aquel No Era Yo plot

Kaney is a child soldier from Africa, who lives with many other child soldiers, and has to follow the orders of the general of the rebel army, who takes care of them like a strict father. Paula is a Spanish woman who, following her friend Juanjo, has moved to Africa and now works there as an aid worker in order to help and possibly rescue the child soldiers living there. Paula and Kaney meet at a border crossing. But before Paula and her boyfriend can cross the border, the general accuses them of kidnapping child soldiers.
