In a mountain village in 19th century Macedonia, a young girl is taken from her mother and turned into a witch by an ancient ghost. She has been living in the wild ever since. She then kills a villager and takes on her form.

Damn, what a slow, boring 'horror' drama I've finished in such a short time. This is just zero horror and apart from a lot of whining, which is what the 'witch' is for, melodramatic close-ups, there was absolutely nothing else to experience, so crap film across the board...and just the lowest score here...

Well I'm about 3/4 into it now and I think it's a really beautiful film. Easy to follow, beautiful images, very "pure"
No unnecessary noise, so you have to love that 
I had the film lying around for a long time but now I was like yes, I now have the peace of mind to watch something slow. I think that tm is also a bit, you have to take/have the time and kind of rest for this type of film. Still, I don't think it's a slow film, it all goes on steadily, but there is certainly enough movement in it.

Unsure of which legend or folk tale this story represents, but it's quite intriguing so far and unlike anything before.
Noomi Rapace's role is unparalleled in her performance in this film, unlike any other I've seen prior to this. The premise of the story is very different than I could have imagined in the way they've accomplished it, and it's a rather horrorific and juicy spectacle for the eyes.
There is so much to learn from so many viewpoints and the constant feeling of how long you can make this one last. I had no idea that Alice Englert was in this film, and her role allowed her the most life yet experienced in the film.
