Haunted Trail plot
A group of friends from college go to a haunted house in the woods for a fun night. They soon discover that they are not only frightened by hired people, but also being hunted by a real killer. If they want to survive the evening, the friends will have to complete the path in the forest.

A simple horror film with a good premise and a good pace, even if the horror is rather monotonous after half an hour. Director Robin Givens particularly benefits from a colorful, boisterous approach to the haunting. It doesn't take long for the characters to step through the entrance, and from that point on, there's always something going on. The only downside is that it all falls a bit short. Many of the rooms look nice, but Givens barely gives the viewer five seconds to absorb them. As a result, the tension builds slowly, and no one really wants to stand out (including the killer himself), but thankfully, it's all entertaining. I'd rather have a film like Haunted Trail than the usual dreck.
