Women Is Losers plot
In 1960s San Francisco, Celina Guerrero was once a promising Catholic schoolgirl. It doesn't come easy when she becomes pregnant by her boyfriend who returned from the Vietnam War. She also has to deal with the death of her best friend as a result of an illegal abortion and raise her son. Celina escapes her abusive father and moves through the city with her son. She takes a job at a bank and is mentored by Gilbert, a man who clearly has intentions outside of work. Celina tries to rise above the oppression of poverty and invest in a future for herself that sets a new precedent for that time.
