One Summer plot
After returning from Iraq, Jack Armstrong is struck by an undiagnosed illness. After a period in the hospital, Jack is allowed to go home, where he spends his last days in the care of his wife Lizzie. Instead, it's Lizzie who dies suddenly in a traffic accident, after which Jack miraculously makes a full recovery. Jack takes his son and daughter to his late wife's hometown. There he gets visions of the past that could forge a new path.
