The famous agent Issa Davydov celebrates his promotion in front of colleagues after years of service. That same day, a woman arrives at the hospital. She claims she was attacked by the same serial killer who was handcuffed by Davydov years earlier. Davydov dives into the case again and is determined to uncover the truth.

Based on the account of a serial killer who committed at least 36 murders from 1978 to 1991. Issa Davydov [Niko Tavadze] is the inspector who has to make things right when it turns out he brought the wrong person to justice. Sevastyanov [Evgeniy Tkachuk] is the photographer who helps to capture new evidence as carefully as possible. The suspicion falls on Vality [Evgeniy Muravich], but the truth (of course) turns out to be a lot more complicated. Sober crime thriller with a strong dose of violence, but partly due to the sometimes confusing time jumps, it lacks the atmosphere and suspense of the comparable Citizen X (1995), and an imposing villain.
