"She's got one more chance to fix the life she left in pieces."
Social Cassie works as a party planner and will soon be celebrating her 25th birthday. The day before the big party, however, she dies in an accident and ends up in the afterlife. Cassie is given a chance to correct the mistakes she made in life with the help of the guardian angel Val. Cassie especially wants to reconnect with her best friend Lisa after they got into an argument just before her death.

Justice's comeback?
Not really if you ask me. Child stars make it big too, and Victoria Justice is probably walking that path right now by starring in this movie. I remember this actress a bit from my younger years, I really liked her there. Here she basically plays the same character, only the film around her is different.
That film is not that good, because I thought the direction was restrained for such an imaginative concept. The stylization is kept in the closet for a long time and once it comes out it looks more like an effect from the free version of a Photoshop program. It's a shame that the film holds back so much in this area, because in this way it doesn't get the atmosphere it should have.
The acting is nice, but the characters themselves are quite jerky. It's remarkable how they added so few new things within a relatively creatively conceived film. Characters seem to have been copied from another movie with ctrl + c and pasted with ctrl + v. Very boring in particular, which good acting can do little about.
Fortunately, it is entertaining and the long playing time it has never feels too long. In that respect the film certainly entertains, but it is simply not that entertaining in terms of content and quality. It is not funny or sharp enough, which puts it perfectly in the list of invisible Netflix films. A film that entertains, but cannot add anything in terms of stylization or story.

Innocent nonsense about a young woman who, from the afterlife, gets the chance to put things right among the living. The sometimes dazzling appearance of Victoria Justice (see poster) is, all things considered, the only highlight of the comedy. So quickly forgotten.

Wouldn't call it a straight romantic comedy. It is more of a feel-good feature film about a girl who dies and has to deal with unfinished business on earth before she can go to heaven... It is mainly about the relationship with her best friend. Additionally, she also has to repair her relationship with her father and mother. But as mentioned, it is mainly about friendship and some moral values. But everything is taken lightly. Not really profound anywhere. The beautiful appearance of Victoria Justice makes up for a lot. And a nice ending. It's not the best in its genre, but it didn't bore me either. Nice snack during the week, but nothing more. 3*
