Compared to the original –She's All That (1999)– the roles have been reversed. Just like back then, it delivers a thoughtless but entertaining diversion. It's nice that Rachael Leigh Cook and Matthew Willard from the original film have been brought back.

Padgett claims that ex-boyfriend Jordan [Peyton Meyer] owes his popularity to her and must prove her influence by turning 'loser' Cameron [Tanner Buchanan] into 'Prom King'. The storyline is broadly predictable, but cultural changes since 1999 provide a few moments that make this better than the original, though that doesn't mean much.
