Compared to the original –She's All That (1999)– the roles have been reversed. Just like back then, it delivers a thoughtless but entertaining diversion. It's nice that Rachael Leigh Cook and Matthew Willard from the original film have been brought back.

An update of the formulaic, negligible She's All That (1999) reverses the gender roles. Influencer Padgett [Addison Rae] makes a bet with girlfriend Alden [Madison Pettis]. Padgett claims that ex-boyfriend Jordan [Peyton Meyer] owes his popularity to her and must prove her influence by turning 'loser' Cameron [Tanner Buchanan] into 'Prom King'. The storyline is broadly predictable, but cultural changes since 1999 provide a few moments that make this better than the original, though that doesn't mean much. Matthew Lillard plays the principal and Rachael Leigh Cook (the 'loser' from She's All That) stars in Padgett's romantic comedy.
