A Felicidade das Coisas plot
A summer house with swimming pool. Forty-year-old Paula probably had a rosy idea of the holidays she would spend there. But in 'A Felicidade das Coisas' she spends her summer heavily pregnant in a messy house. Without her husband and with her mother, distant teenage son and daughter. The house is on a dangerous river, close to an uncharming beach and an overpriced leisure club. The pool in question is on its side in the garden. There is no money for the installation really not. Yet Paula bites into it, as if everyone would then be happy and her frustrations would disappear.
