A sweet and sour story in one film with a lovely nurse in a large hospital as common denominator. The sour story concerns her relationship with an ambitious young architect, who eventually succumbs to the temptations in his work environment. The sweet story is about the affection the nurse finds in a shy patient with a lack of self-esteem.
The structure of the film seems intended to mislead the viewer chronologically. Due to the twist towards the end, the puzzle pieces eventually fall into place by themselves.
More of a romantic drama than a romantic comedy.

Just read a book by Remco Breuker about South Korea, also with some book and film tips (not this film) and afterwards I felt like picking up some Korean. This one was ranked highest on Netflix of the movies I hadn't seen yet. Plot appealed to me and not too long on a late Sunday evening, so the choice was easy.

Fine movie. With the pressure for young employees to perform, it is indeed Korean, but also extremely universal. After all, that is happening worldwide. The way a couple grows apart is also portrayed in a recognizable way. Well acted, visually very beautiful at times with that lighting and colors always and atmospheric images and panoramas of the metropolis. The film is nowhere really special and every now and then it sags a bit and the beginning focuses too much on some lame comedy, but as a whole it is pleasant to watch. I actually thought that twist at the end was unnecessary. 3.5*.
