Hete Vuren plot

Master Gerard is retiring after a long career in education. He has been fascinated for years by everything that has to do with the fire service and at his farewell party he receives a figurine of a fire truck as a gift. This gives him the idea not to just sit at home and enjoy his retirement, but to try to join the fire service as a volunteer. However, that does not go without a fight.
