Rita, la Figlia Americana plot
Professor Serafino Benvenuti is a master of classical music and has the passion of an orchestra conductor. However, the young audience of the 1960s did not appreciate classical composers such as Mozart or Beethoven, and so Serafino is in danger of tarnishing his image as a conductor. One day, Serafino receives a message that his adopted daughter Rita is about to return to Italy from America, where she studies. Serafino is very happy, because at least now he can teach her the real music. However, Rita has changed: she follows the musical patterns of her time: the rock music and the blues. Serafino becomes very angry, especially when he discovers that his daughter is in love with a young man, a member of a band called "The Rockets".
