Quite a nice thriller. The story is not very original and has no surprises. The effect is reasonable. The well-known paths are walked without deviating anything. But despite that, the film remains fascinating throughout the entire duration and the ending is quite exciting. The soundtrack is very good and gives the film some extras. The acting is okay, even Fox plays a reasonable role. Willis' role is purely for the poster because he hardly ever acts in his superfluous role. Entertaining movie. 3.0/3.5

Faint.

Apparently, this movie was said to have won the ugliest poster of 2021. To what extent that has been decided, I do not know, but that is how this film actually came to the attention. In addition, I quite like watching a Megan Fox so I decided to give the film the benefit of the doubt and put it on.

In fact, the film starts quite well. We are treated to a mysterious setup with some pretty good acting from the cast. Fox might not immediately take you seriously in this role, but she does a pretty good job. I think she just has too low standards for movies these days, because she's not bad. As expected, Willis is hardly really in the picture, but the role is just a bit better for him too. Furthermore, a funny supporting role by singer Machine Gun Kelly, who I always see 'suddenly' running by in films.

In terms of story it is not special, actually it is rather standard happening and the film does not do much better than comparable films. What it also lacks is a really catchy style. It's not as mediocre as the average TV movie, but nevertheless the style could have been much fresher and better. If you also miss a really good villain, the party is complete and it becomes clear that Midnight in the Switchgrass cannot distinguish itself in anything.

It still looks nice, but the film continues to disappoint in too many areas. It can therefore be classified as a very easy filler. It doesn't really convince in anything, but looks away quickly. What is still a bit successful is the first half hour in which we see the crime introduced a bit. Those are the moments that give the film some legs to stand on. Otherwise rather mediocre.

Pennsylvania 2004: Agent Byron Crawford [Emile Hirsch] investigates the death of a 16-year-old girl only to find his investigation complicated by FBI Agents Rebecca [Megan Fox] and Karl [Bruce Willis], who believe a serial killer is involved. it's work. Against Karl's advice, Rebecca goes into business with Byron, offering herself as bait. Willis has little to do in this on paper unoriginal thriller, but Lukas Haas is very convincing as the serial killer who is also an exemplary father.
