The wealthy aristocratic Haller family has lost almost all of their money after investing in the stock market. They need more money, but where can they get it? They have a young maidservant, Sara, who inherits a fortune from a wealthy uncle in Australia. Sara is in love with the family's son, Georg Haller, but he doesn't want to get married for the money. She'll have to spend all her money if she's ever going to marry him...
