Medan Porten Var Stängd plot

A collection of strange characters lives in an apartment complex. Cora Anker is a former actress, who can no longer get roles. Hugo Sjöwall is a rentier and elderly gentleman who lives in misery, but does not want anyone to notice. Marianne Sahlén is a flight attendant, recently divorced and very unhappy, but determined to live her own life without the interference of husbands. There is also a prostitute, who carefully keeps track of her income, so that she can eventually retire and start a new life. Another person who lives there is the landowner von Breda, with a lot of money and little conscience. And finally there is journalist Tomas Ekberg, who is always looking for a "good" story. The extremely cynical couple Emil and Frida Johansson, the janitors, watches over them all. Dramas take place behind the closed doors of the apartments, but there are also crazy situations.
