Ugly locations: an atmospheric new housing estate, tiled front gardens with a square meter of grass cut here and there, not a tree or shrub to be seen, horrible! The Vondelpark again, of course, nothing wrong with that, but actually much too small for a city like Amsterdam. You can let your dog loose, by the way, I don't know if that is still the case. Here in Tilburg they recently opened a brand new park (about 1/3 of the Vondelpark in size) where dogs are not even allowed to enter. Fuck park. This aside.

Film is again full of nasty characters, those neoliberal career bitches, people you walk a long way around in real life. At least I do. And so badly acted, in porn movies there is usually even better acting. Jim Bakkum, of course, takes on the role of the perfect man again.

Oh well... good is something else, but I've certainly seen worse in this genre. In terms of jokes, it remains somewhat below par because there are only a few comic dialogues in the film. So in terms of humor, the film certainly does not score. In terms of romance you can hardly blame the film because the course of the story looks like many other films in this genre. So a lot of stealing, but it wasn't really disturbing. The same also applies to Yolanthe Cabau who wants to make something of it. Noortje Herlaar also knows how to fulfill her role as an egoistic sister. Mediocre movie without more. 5/10

Boudellah and Van de Rest are the Dutch answer to Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer: they make formulaic films that many people watch, but hardly anyone likes! Their mudslide of romantic comedies began with this monstrosity full of sexist and racist stereotypes, tasteless humor, and lousy acting. Lotte [Yolanthe Cabau] is the girl who thinks she has found her prince in shining armor (literally) in colleague Alex [Juvat Westendorp]. She's wrong. And then Jim Bakkum appears on the scene. Noortje Herlaar is actually even worse than Cabau as his vain, bitchy, man-devouring sister, but the main prize goes to Huub Smit as Fritz, Lotte's manager. But if you enjoyed this, be sure to also watch Love Without Borders, F*ck The Love (1 and 2) and [i]Oops, I Grow[/i ].
