Requiem für einen Freund plot
Lawyer Joachim Vernau is subject to a tax audit. For unclear reasons, tax auditor Harry Fischer is interested in an expense report for a business dinner from four years ago. He invites Vernau to his own law firm in the middle of the night, but when it arrives, he finds Fischer dead. The expense report concerns a dinner that Vernau had years ago with one of his oldest friends, lawyer Sebastian Marquardt, in an expensive restaurant.
