Teen Rain Burroughs has been diagnosed with schizophrenia which means every day is a struggle. When she believes the shadows and cries of her neighbor's attic are hiding a dark secret, she enlists the help of Caleb, the charming and clumsy new kid at school. She begins to suspect that her neighbors have kidnapped a child.

I thought this one was quite good. I had to pay full attention to it as it became quite complex at a certain point. In addition to drama/thriller, there was also a few horror (read horror) moments. The atmosphere was good and I also liked the cast. They made a good choice, especially for the neighbor. Fascinating and occasionally quite exciting, with some surprising twists. Recommended.

Formulaic thriller film with a rather simple elaboration of Schizophrenia. It is not developed in a very exciting way and is only used somewhat faintly to make the mystery content a bit more unpredictable, but director Castille Landon does not exactly hide that final approach effectively. There is little wrong with the acting, Madison Iseman gets the most out of her limited source material and Israel Broussard supports her well in the supporting role. Visually, it looks fairly neat and the first half is quite fascinating, but after a while you as a viewer realize what's going on and you wait for a revelation that you can see coming from a mile away. Suitable as an easy and, above all, not too complex snack.
