Giving Voice plot
The August Wilson Monologue Competition is an annual competition for high school students. In addition to a competition culminating in the finale on Broadway, it is above all an instructive journey for the participants. They attend workshops where theater teachers sharpen their acting and storytelling skills. During auditions, they receive feedback from professionals. This documentary follows six participants who all have a dream to get ahead in life.
