Still genius.

An all-star team of talent. Koji Morimoto as the leader, a young Yuasa as the lead animator, Yoko Kanno tackling the soundtrack, and a young Studio 4°C eager to prove himself. The result is a short film that is far ahead of its time.

Also the type of fantasy that suits me well. Morimoto paints a unique world that is too detailed for the limited time, but that only makes the revisions more fun. Yet this is also a side issue, because it is above all an audiovisual experience to say to you.

A benchmark release for cel-shaded animation, great character designs, the traditional animation is great too, and the art style is finger licking good. The soundtrack and sound design are at least as strong, here you also notice that Morimoto is also occasionally behind a turntable.

A small, perfect project that manages to amaze me every time. It is therefore one of the few short films and unsubbed films that I have bought on DVD.

5.0* and a detailed review
