Me and My Pal plot
Oliver prepares for his wedding day with the daughter of a wealthy oil tycoon. His friend Stan is the marriage witness. While visiting Oliver in the morning, Stan gives him a jigsaw puzzle to pass the time before going to the altar so that he will be late and the bride has already left.

Nice job on that puzzle. It is once again a variation on the well-known jokes of Laurel & Hardy. At the same time, it never gets special. But still have a laugh.

The funny thing about Laurel and Hardy is that they always play the same character, but each time in a different situation. On the same DVD they can also be seen as a tramp, but this time fortune is up for grabs for Mr. Hardy. Of course you can guess that somehow it will go wrong.
Such a jigsaw puzzle can absorb all your attention. You always want to fit one extra piece in. Men of various ranks gather around it, from the butler to the oil tycoon. The names are well chosen. Hives dignifies the butler; Cucumber ridicules the millionaire. James Finlayson is his hot-tempered self again. The comedic duo has perfect timing. Typical is the delayed response or double take. This is one of their more subtle works. The title is a paraphrase from Me and My Gal (1932).
