Firebase plot

This one is on Youtube, but because of the age restriction, I didn't find it that easy to watch it. Finally watched through a different channel. Well, I found a bit of a chaotic whole of some eighties gore horror pulp mixed with Predator (Film, 1987) with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Kind of strange that I had the exact feeling that the assembly was not always correct. Many separate scenes that suddenly end as if they were loose memories of traumatized soldiers. Could be better as far as I'm concerned. There was no real line. In terms of content, well, pulp of course, but always nice when you're in the mood.

Also a reasonable film within the Oats Studios series. The story is well thought out and is beautifully portrayed with sometimes some unsavory images. Every now and then the film sinks a bit and sometimes feels a bit incomplete. Visually beautifully made. 3.5

Remarkable project by Blomkamp: clearly made with a lot of professionalism and budget and more (very impressive) special effects than many cinema films. This by not doing everything with CGI, but also a lot with practical effects. Yet it only lasts half an hour and it is not even a finished story. It immediately drags you into a bizarre and bloody Metal Gear Solid like story (mutants, aliens, super weapons) and tastes like much more. It's just a shame it wasn't finished. Only a few extra scenes were needed for that. And I think this could easily have been a delightful 1.5 hour comic strip pulp movie. Shame!
